Some notes from the lesson:

The Guarantee of Success in Prayer

Jesus promises we will receive that for which we pray (Matthew 7:7-8; Matthew 17:20; Mark 11:22-24; John 15:7).

And Yet,

We do not always receive those specific things for which we pray (Matthew 26:39; Acts 12:12; 2 Corinthians 12:7-10).

Requirements for answered prayer:

• We must be Christians (James 5:16; 1 Peter 3:12).
• We must be Bible students (John 15:7).
• We must pray knowingly and sincerely (1 Corinthians 14:15).
• We must pray humbly (Luke 18:9-14).
• We must pray with the right motives (James 4:3).
• We must pray with confidence that God will say, “Yes” (James 1:5-8).
• We must pray within the will of God (Matthew 26:39; 1 John 5:14-15).
• We must pray persistently (Luke 11:5-8; Luke 18:1).
